একেই বলে বন্ধুত্ব!

উত্তর চীনের জুঝু প্রদেশের দাজু হাই স্কুলের ছাত্র ১৯ বছর বয়সী ঝেং চি। পেশীর অপবিকাশের দরুন ঝেং এর মেরুদন্ডের পেশী আক্রান্ত হয় এবং তার পক্ষে হাঁটা একেবারেই অসাধ্য ব্যাপার।

কিন্তু তার বন্ধু ১৮ বছর বয়সী জি ঝু তার জন্য যা করছে যা আজকাল বিরল। তিন বছর ধরে ঝেংকে কাঁধে করে শ্রেণীকক্ষে নিয়ে আসেন জি যাতে তার কোনো পাঠ মিস না হয়।

ঝেং এবং জি উভয়ে একই স্কুল ডরমিটরি থাকেন এবং ঝেংকে রান্নাবান্না এবং কাপড় ধোঁয়া শুরু করে সকল কাজে সাহায্য করেন জি।

স্কুলের ভাইস-প্রিন্সিপাল গু চুনজি তাদের এই বন্ধত্বকে ‘উৎসাহব্যঞ্জক’ বলে আখ্যায়িত করেন।

তিনি বলেন, ‘তাদের মধ্যে সত্যিকারের যে বন্ধুত্ব দেখতে পাই তা সত্যি অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক এবং হৃদয়স্পর্শী।’

19-year old Zhang Chi is a student of Daxu High School of Xuzhu province of northern China. His skeletal muscle is affected due to the muscular dystrophy.

But what he is doing for his friend 18-year old Xie Xu, is rare in the modern world. Zhang has been giving piggy-back to Xie so that he can’t miss any lesson. 

Zhang and Xie both live in the school dormitory and Zhang helps Xie in making foods and washing cloths.

The vice-principal of the school Guo Chunxi termed the friendship between Zhang and Xie ‘inspiring’.

He said, ‘The real friendship we see between them is inspiring and touching’.

ডুমুর বাড়ায় যৌনশক্তি!

কুঁজো স্ত্রী অন্ধ স্বামীকে টেনে চলেছেন ৩০ বছর ধরে!

৮০ বছর বয়সী হুয়াং ফুনেং দক্ষিণ চীনের এক ছোট্ট গ্রামের বাসিন্দা। ৫৫ বছর আগে তিনি ওয়েই গুই’র সাথে বিবাহবন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হন। ওয়েই’র বয়স বর্তমানে ৭৬ বছর। আজ থেকে তিরিশ বছর পূর্বে ১৯৮০ সালে চোখের সমস্যায় দৃষ্টিশক্তি হারান হুয়াং। সেই থেকে হুয়াংকে টেনে চলেছেন অস্টিওপরোসিস রোগের কারণে কুঁজো হয়ে যাওয়া ওয়েই। হাসিমুখে সেবা করছেন স্বামীর।

ভালোবাসার মূর্ত প্রতীক এই দম্পতির কোনো সন্তান নেই। মজার ব্যাপার হলো বিয়ের দিন তারা দুজন শপথ নিয়েছিলেন সুখে-দুখে সারাজীবন একে অপরের পাশে থাকবেন।

ওয়েই জানান, ‘আমরা অত্যন্ত সুখী এবং জীবনে তৃপ্ত। সবসময় আমরা একে অপরের পাশে থাকবো। আমি তার চোখ এবং সে আমরা সব।’

In this modern world, marriage is being broken over trifling matter, husband tortures wife, wife disregards husband. Such incidents have become common phenomenon. But if you learn about the conjugal love of this Chinese couple, you will think love hasn’t gone away from this planet. Love still exists and will remain ever.

80-year old Huang Funeng lives in a tiny village in Southern China. He got married with Weiyi Guyi about 55 years ago. Weiyi is now 76 years old. It is unfortunate that Weiyi became hunchback due to osteoporosis. Huang lost his eyesight thirty years ago in 1980 due to regenerative eye condition. Since then, Huang’s beloved wife Weiyi has been guiding and taking care of him with sincere love. 

The symbol love this couple was never bestowed with child. It is interesting that they made promise to live together all the time on their marriage day. 

Weiyi said, ‘We are very happy and leading a contended life. We will remain beside each other for the rest of our life. I am his eyes and he is my everything.’

Hasna Begum started her journey with $ 7

Hasna Begum is a housewife of Bangladesh. She hails from BSCIC area of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Her husband’s name is Rezaul Ahsan. The couple is bestowed with four children. Hasna’s eldest son has completed the graduation. Two daughters study in polytechnic institute and youngest son studies in class six. Hasna studied up to class ten. She got married with Rezaul Ahsan in 1985. She used to work before her marriage in a factory in BSCIC area of Rajshahi at monthly salary of meager Tk. 450 (about 7 US dollar). After the marriage, she dreamt to set up a factory.  

Hasna took training on making garments from Women Affairs Department in 1990. She started a factory with the initial capital of sixty thousand taka (about one thousand US dollar). At first, she had four hand-looms. She exhibited her products in local fairs. The demand of her products made her confident to go ahead. Now about 200 women are working in the factory of Hasna named ‘MP Fabrics’. Hasna provided training to her workers. Hasna also set up a poultry feed factory.

Hasna Begum took part in the trade fair in Kolkata through Women Chamber of Commerce & Industries in 2006. After returning from this fair, Hasna got a society named ‘ARC’ registered with Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau. Since then, she has been participating in fairs in different countries of the world. She has already taken part in the fairs of Nepal and different states of India including Kolkata, Assam and Goahati.

Hasna Begum is very busy. She has no time to sit idle. She conducts a training center from where she imparts training on different handicrafts to poor women of her locality. 130 women take training from her training center every year. She supplies thread and fabrics to these trained women.

Hasna Begum is an inspiration for women of Bangladesh as well as the world who want to stand on their own feet. Without the empowerment of women the development of a nation isn’t possible. The whole world is currently vocal for the economic emancipation of women. The women of developing countries face different difficulties to contribute to the economy of the country. Bangladesh is a poor developing country of South Asia. But the progress of Bangladesh in women empowerment is praiseworthy. The presence of women in different sectors of Bangladesh has been lauded by the developed nations. Different foreign NGOs are working in Bangladesh for empowering the women.

The government of Bangladesh is sincere to integrate women in the economic activities of country. Most of the workers of garment factories of Bangladesh are women. They immensely contribute to the economy of Bangladesh. There are a good number of women in Bangladesh as well as world like Hasna Begum who can change their fates as well as their families if they get proper opportunity. Women should give a congenial environment for their empowerment which is essential for the development of the globe.

ব্রাজিলের সবচেয়ে লম্বা পুরুষের সুখী দাম্পত্য জীবন

২৮ বছর বয়সী জোয়েলিসন ফার্নান্দেজ দা সিলভা দক্ষিণ ব্রাজিলের ছোট্ট গ্রাম পারাইবাতে বেড়ে উঠেন। ছোটবেলা থেকেই অস্বভাবিকভাবে বাড়ছিল তার উচ্চতা। এজন্য সবাই তাকে এড়িয়ে চলতো। স্কুল ত্যাগ করতে বাধ্য হয়েছিলেন জোয়েলিসন।  

জোয়েলেসিনের ক্রমবর্ধমান উচ্চতা চিন্তার কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায় তার পরিবারের জন্য। অবশেষে অপারেশনের মাধ্যমে রোধ করেন তার দেহের বর্ধন। বর্তমানে জোয়েলিসনের উচ্চতা ৭ ফুট আট ইঞ্চি। 

মজার ব্যাপার হলো তা স্ত্রী ইভেম মেদেইরসের উচ্চতা তার চেয়ে তিন ফুট কম। অনলাইনে পরিচয়ের সূত্রে ধরে বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হন জোয়েলিসন এবং ইভেম। 

জোয়েলিসন বনেলন, ‘প্রথম দর্শনে আমি তার প্রেমে পড়েছিলাম। তাকে সারাজীবনের জন্য পেতে চেয়েছিলাম। তার উচ্চতা আমার কাছে কোনো বিষয় ছিল না।’

 

প্রথম প্রথম মানুষ জোয়েলিসন এবং ইভেমের উচ্চতা দেখে হাসাহাসি করতো। তবে এখন বিষয়টি স্বাভাবিক হয়ে গেছে।

জোয়েলিসন স্বর্নের খনি এবং বাগানে কাজ করতেন। পরে স্বাস্থ্যগত কারণে চাকরি ছেড়ে দিতে বাধ্য হন। বর্তমানে তিনি হিমায়িত তৈরী খাবারের দোকানো কাজ করেন। 

ইভেম জানান, ‘প্রথমে আমার কিছুটা ভয় ছিল। আমার মনে হয়েছিল জোয়েলিসনের সাথে আমার সম্পর্ক টিকবে না। কিন্তু আমরা এখন সুখী দাম্পত্য জীবন উপভোগ করছি।’

28-year old Joelison was brought up in a tiny rural village Paraibah of northern Brazil. His height was abnormally increasing from his childhood. For this reason, he was bullied and bound to leave school. 

The increasing height of Joelison made his family concerned. Ultimately, he stopped his growth with a successful operation. Now his height is 7 ft 8 inch.  

It is interesting that the height of his wife Medeiros Evem is less than three feet. Joelison and Evem got married after getting introduced through online. 

Joelison said, ‘I fell love with her at first sight and wanted to get her for my whole life. Her height wasn’t a matter to me.’

At first, people mocked the abnormal difference of height between Joelison and Evem. But now this has become normal. 

Joelison used to work in gold mine and plantation. But he was bound to quit the job due to health reasons. Now he works in frozen ready foods chain. 

Evem said, ‘At first I was afraid a bit. I thought our relationship wouldn’t be sustained. But now we lead a happy love life.’

শালগমের ওজন ৩৩ পাউন্ড!

চীনের ইউনান প্রদেশে এক কৃষক ৩৩ পাউন্ড ওজনের শালগম ফলিয়েছে।

মি. লি নামের ঐ কৃষক বলেন কোনো প্রকার সার ছাড়াই তিনি এই শালগম চাষ করেছে। চীনের পিপল্স ডেইলি অনলাইনের প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী অন্যদের মতো মি. লি তার চাষকৃত শালগমের আকৃতিতে অবাক হয়েছেন।

শালগমটির দৈর্ঘ্য চার ফুট।

গড়ে একটি শালগমের ওজন দুই থেকে চার আউন্স হয়। তাই মি. লি এর শালগম কোনো সাধারণ সব্জি নয়।

A farmer harvested a turnip weighing 33 pound in Yunnan province of China.

That farmer named Mr. Li harvested this turnip without any fertilizer. According to the report of China’s People’s Daily Online, Mr. Li was shocked at the size of the turnip grown by him like others.

The turnip reportedly is 4 feet long.

The average weight of a turnip is two to four ounce. So the turnip harvested by Mr. Li isn’t an ordinary vegetable.

তোতাপাখি চিৎকার করলো ‘আগুন, বাঁচাও’!

যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ইডাহো রাজ্যের ক্যানিয়ন কাউন্টির এক বাড়িতে আগুন লাগে। আগুন নেভানোর জন্য দমকলবাহিনী দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে আসে। হঠাৎ তারা শুনতে পান বাড়ির ভেতর থেকে কে যেন বলছে, ‘আগুন, বাঁচাও’। প্রথমে তারা ভেবেছিল বাড়ির ভেতরে কোনো মানুষ আছে। কিন্তু তারা যখন বাড়ির ভেতরে প্রবেশ করে তখন বুঝতে পারে ‘বাঁচাও, বাঁচাও’ যে চিৎকার তারা শুনেছিলেন তা মানুষের নয়, দুটো তোতাপাখির।

 

পরে দমকলকর্মীরা তোতাপাখি দুটিকে বাড়ির বাইরে নিয়ে আসে এবং অক্সিজেন দেয়। 

বাড়ির ভেতরে কোনো মানুষ পাওয়া যায়নি। অগ্নিকান্ডের কারণ খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে।

A house in Canyon County of Idaho, USA caught fire. The firefighters rushed to the spot. All on a sudden, they heard screams from inside the house, ‘Fire, Help’. At first they thought there was any man inside the house. But when they entered into the house, they understood that the screams they heard weren’t made by man, by two parrots.

The firefighters brought out the parrots and gave them oxygen.

No man was found inside the house. The reason of the fire is being investigated.

ডালিম, প্রাকৃতিক ভায়াগ্রা!

প্রকৃতি আমাদেরকে তার দু’হাত উজাড় করে দিয়েছে অফুরন্ত খাদ্যশস্য, শাক-সব্জী, ফল-ফলাদি যার মধ্যে রয়েছে বিভিন্ন রোগের উপশম। নিয়মিত এসকল শাক-সব্জী, ফলমূল খেয়ে আমরা সুস্থ থাকতে পারি। অসংখ্য ফলের মাঝে ডালিম একটি অসাধারণ ফল। একে ‘বিস্ময় ফল’ হিসেবেও অভিহিত করা হয়। ডালিমের রয়েছে বিস্ময়কর রোগ নিরাময় ক্ষমতা। গবেষণায় দেখা গেছে ডালিমের রস লিঙ্গ উত্থানে অক্ষমতায় আশ্চর্যজনক কাজ করে। লিঙ্গ উত্থানে অক্ষমতায় ডালিমের রসের প্রভাবের উপর ২০০৫ সালে পশুর উপর একটি গবেষণা পরিচালিত হয়। উক্ত গবেষণায় দেখা যায় যে, লিঙ্গ উত্থানে অক্ষমতার সাথে মুক্ত রেডিক্যালের রয়েছে ঘনিষ্ঠ সম্পর্ক। আর ডালিমে রয়েছে প্রচুর অ্যান্টি-অক্সিডেন্ট যা মুক্ত রেডিক্যালের সাথে লড়াই করে। ফলে লিঙ্গ উত্থানে অক্ষমতা নিরাময় করতে কাজ করে। তাই ডালিমকে বলা হয় ‘প্রকৃতির ভায়াগ্রা’।

শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়ির উপর বউমা’র এ কী প্রতিশোধ!

আবহকাল থেকে বউমার সাথে শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়ির সম্পর্ক সাপে-নেউলে। তিক্ত সম্পর্কের জেরে ভাঙছে সংসার, ঘটছে সহিংসতা। সুখের সংসার পুড়ে ছাড়খাড় হচ্ছে। সন্তানের সাথে সৃষ্টি হচ্ছে বাবা-মায়ের দূরত্ব। অনেক সময় শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়ি বউমার উপর প্রতিশোধ নিতে গিয়ে খাবারে মেশাচ্ছে বিষ। আবার বউমা প্রতিশোধ নিতে গিয়ে ঘটাচ্ছে নানা ঘটনা। তবে ভারতের মধ্যপ্রদেশে ঘটেছে এমন এক ঘটনা যা সৃষ্টি করেছে বিশ্বজুড়ে তোলপাড়। শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়ির উপর প্রতিশোধ নিতে গিয়ে এক বছর ধরে চায়ের কাপে প্রস্রাব করে তা শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়িকে খাওয়াচ্ছেন এক বউমা।
দীপক নাগভানশির সাথে বিয়ের পর অসুখী ছিলেন ৩০ বছর বয়সী রেখা নাগভানশি। সে শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়ির সাথে বাস করবেনা বলে বাড়ি থেকে বেরিয়ে যায়। স্বামী দীপক তাদের কন্যার দোহাই দিয়ে তাকে ফিরিয়ে আনে। তবে রেখা শর্ত আরোপ করে যে, তাকে রান্না-বান্না করে খাওয়াতে হবে। এমনকি তার পা মেসেজ করতে হবে। দীপকের বাবা-মা এ ব্যাপারে আপত্তি জানায় এবং তাদের ছেলেকে দাসের মতো ব্যবহারের জন্য রেখাকে দোষারুপ করে।
দীপকের মা-বাবার এই হস্তক্ষেপে ক্ষেপে যায় রেখা। ফন্দি আঁটে প্রতিশোধ নেওয়ার। অবশেষে চায়ের কাপে প্রস্রাব করে তা শ্বশুর-শ্বাশুড়িকের খাওয়ানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় রেখা। এভাবে এক বছর যাবৎ সে এ অপকর্ম করতে থাকে।
রেখা দীপকের মা-বাবাকে হাসিমুখে চা দিতেন। একদিন রান্নাঘরে দীপকের মা গিয়ে দেখেন চায়ের কাপে রেখা প্রস্রাব করছে। ঘটনা জানাজানি হয়ে গেলে এলাকায় আলোড়ন সৃষ্টি হয়।
দীপকের মা-বাবা দুষ্ট বউমার বিরুদ্ধে আদালতের দ্বারস্থ হয়েছে এবং বর্তমানে তারা আলাদা বসবাস করছেন।
